Janina is passionate about understanding how organizations can contribute to resolving societal challenges and drive social change. Her research focuses on social enterprises and charities and explores how they can scale their activities to achieve systems change. She is particularly interested in how these organizations experience organizational change and the role of design, identity and emotions in this context. Furthermore, she is interested in understanding how the framing of societal issues can change over time and how this relates to the resolution of the societal issue at hand. She has, among other topics, investigated organizational change in a UK national charity and studied framing change in the European migration crisis.

Janina obtained her PhD in Management from the University of Edinburgh Business School and holds a MLitt (Master) in International Business from the University of St Andrews. Her professional background is in consulting and change management where she worked for more than twelve years in various leadership roles. Janinas primary responsibilities included organizational change management (M&As and reorganization programs), executive education and business development. She is a certified business coach.
