Luc Glasbeek is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management & Organization at the School of Business and Economics of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

From 1995–2010, he held various professional roles in leading corporations in the areas of project management, organizational learning, and business operations. Subsequently, between 2010 and 2019, he worked as a Netherlands-based entrepreneur, focusing on professional services delivery in different industries.

In 2020, Luc obtained his Ph.D. in social entrepreneurship at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His dissertation is titled Social Enterprises With Exceedingly Tight Resources: Implications for Work and Leadership.

His research interests include social entrepreneurship, servant leadership, corporate social responsibility, and strategic entrepreneurship—particularly, within crisis contexts.

Luc teaches courses on Organization Theory, Academic Skills, and Consultancy. Finally, he supervises about 15 master’s and bachelor’s theses annually, which are mostly on social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsbility.
